CITY OF IDEAS.  In 1997, Mythos Legends founder Tim McClure created a new slogan for a city determined to Keep Austin Weird while staking its rightful claim as the Live Musical Capital of the World

Billboards, t-shirts, and all manner of merchandise proclaimed Austin the "City of Ideas." Only one hurdle remains - official launch of the campaign slogan. If Austin is both a city AND the capital of Texas, surely City of Ideas can coexist with Live Music Capital of the World.

City of Ideas™ is a brand and product created by Mythos Legends.

 

Mythos Legends is an Austin-based global brand consultancy specializing in strategic branding, alluring design, brand story, and visual storytelling. Mythos typically works with clients on a project basis, with an option to extend consultation once a project is complete. Mythos is most often asked to continue developing successful brand enhancement and brand endurance strategies.

 

Services available to and offered by City of Ideas can include business marketing consulting services; promoting business and tourism in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area; developing promotional campaigns for businesses; and merchandise packaging.

 

Mythos Legends in-sources and out-sources special teams according to the specific needs of each client. Mythos works with clients to discover each company’s brand values - a small set of general guiding principles; brand purpose - their fundamental reason for existence; and brand promise - what the brand promises to do for their consumers.

Over the years, we have continually kept our copyrighted City of Ideas™ concept in the public eye, with outdoor boards and limited edition merchandise runs. Several notable Austinites have given us an enthusiastic thumbs-up, and we would be honored to team up with a corporate sponsor for this powerful idea.

 

Austin is, and will likely always be, the Live Music Capital of the World. But Austin is more than music. It is a City of Ideas  –  ideas that have sparked global technology companies, futuristic cybermachines, and intergalactic space ventures. Our goal is to promote business and tourism in the Austin, Texas area.
